Job Description

Aga Khan University (AKU) invites applications for the following positions:

PROJECT MANAGER
French Medical Institute for Children, based in Kabul, Afghanistan (Managed by the Aga Khan University Hospital)


The incumbent will be responsible for coordination with all stakeholders during the entire design phases starting from conceptual plan to construction document stages. S/he will also be responsible for preparation and finalization of construction work schedules, successful execution and monitoring the progress for timely project implementation. Additionally, s/he will handle contract negotiations, contract awards and manage progress of consultants and contractors.
Candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from a reputable university with PMP certification. Minimum 7 years of relevant experience, preferably in a hospital construction project.

 

ASSOCIATE LIBRARIAN
Faculty of Health Sciences
The appointee will assist the Head Librarian in the overall management of the library. S/he will support faculty, staff and students, deliver information literacy programmes and work toward integrating resource based learning and developing new information technologies.
Candidates should have a Master’s degree in Library and Information Sciences with at least 5 years of experience in an academic institution or hospital library, including 2 years in a supervisory role. They should have knowledge of online and printed information resources and international bibliographic standards.

 

ASSISTANT MANAGER, HUMANITIES

AKU – Examination Board
The incumbent will review and strengthen the existing examination syllabuses for SSC and HSSC Humanities subjects and develop new ones as required. S/he will arrange for the development of teaching materials to support the syllabuses, facilities workshops and ensure quality in matters related to examinations and syllabus development.

Candidates should have a Master’s in Education, sound knowledge of the content of the major Humanities subjects at the SSC and HSSC levels, a good understanding of educational trends and expertise in assessment and testing.
